Current Las Vegas Weather

Did You Know? - Las Vegas is at the heart of the hottest, harshest desert in North America. It receives less than 4 inches (10cm) of rain fall per year. Temperatures vary enormously, with daytime maximums in July and August averaging over 100°F (38°C) and night-time minimums dropping below the freezing mark in December and January.

The mid-summer heat on the Las Vegas Strip is near unbearable, making it impossible to walk any distance during the day. Hotel swimming pools tend to be closed between October and March inclusive.

Las Vegas is at its quietest and room rates are at their lowest during the first few weeks of December and the last few weeks of January and also during June and July. Christmas and New Years are the busiest times.

Weather wise, the ideal months to visit Las Vegas, Nevada are April, May, September and October. If you snow ski or board, then December and January are your best months.
